Thet has 9 years of experience in renewables and power generation. Before founding Traverse Technologies, he was part of a renewables specialist private equity fund (Armstrong Asset Management) and managed over 500MW of transactions in South East Asia covering early stage project development to IPP operations. Before Armstrong, Thet helped clients such as E.ON and KfW secure overUS$40M in carbon financing under the Kyoto protocol. Thet graduated from the National University of Singapore with Bachelors of Engineering in Material Science.
Jian Hao has been working in renewables since 2011. He has led and supported more than 70 wind and solar projects totalling more than 3 GW globally of various scope and project capacity. These projects mainly include feasibility studies, energy assessments, meteorological monitoring campaigns, site audit, owner’s engineering, tender support and project technical due diligence. Previously Jian Hao was at DNV GL and completed his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Eugene founded Traverse together with Thet and is the chief technology officer. Eugene graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelors in Computer Science and was one of the earliest engineers at Garena Labs (now SEA Group) who launched AirPay (now part of SeaMoney which has >15 million users as of 2Q2020).
Andrew is the Founder and Managing Partner of Armstrong Asset Management, a private equity firm investing in renewable energy infrastructure in SE Asia. He is a board member and/or advisor to various RE investment, development and tech businesses, industry associations and philanthropic initiatives focused on climate change solutions in Asia. He was formerly the CEO of Low Carbon Investors Ltd, a dedicated European clean energy fund management group. Prior to joining Low Carbon Investors in 2008, Andrew worked throughout Asia in various capacities. He has 30 years of asset management and investment banking experience in the region, and has specialized in renewable energy investments and climate policy for the last 14 years. Andrew holds an MBA in Finance from Leicester University and a PGCert in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from De Montfort University.
Bernhard is Managing Partner of energy transformation investment boutique Blue Minds Group and Member of the Investment Committee at independent renewable power producer RP Global, based in Vienna. He serves as (independent) board member at several energy transformation companies in EMEA and at DenizBank AG. Earlier, Bernhard was executive member of the Board and CFO of Turkey’s largest privately-owned utility, Enerjisa Group, based in Istanbul from 2007-2014 (nominated to this role by VERBUND, Sabanci Holding and E.ON SE, respectively) and Head of Corporate Development at VERBUND 2005-2007. Bernhard graduated in law from Vienna and Edinburgh Universities and as a Chevening Scholar from the Oxford University M.Sc. program in environmental change and management.
Doug is a Singapore-based entrepreneur and angel investor. He invests in capital-light green-enabling companies, like Traverse. Doug is COO of nuTonomy, an autonomous vehicle company that was acquired by Delphi Automotive in 2017. Prior to nuTonomy, Doug was an Associate Partner at McKinsey, a green housing real-estate developer and an occasional vagabond. Doug received his MBA from INSEAD.
Josh is currently Team Head of U.S. Renewables, Power & Infrastructure for real asset debt and equity investing at Hanwha Asset Management USA. He held a stint at Deutsche Asset Management as a Director previously. Prior to moving to asset management, he was the Director of Development at Recurrent Energy and before that held project development and corporate development roles at Intergen. Josh is also an experienced startup advisor and investor. He completed his BA in Economics at the University of Michigan.
Susana is managing partner at Halig-Partners, an independent corporate and investment advisory platform specialized in several vertical segments of the global infrastructure sector. Susana was previously Managing Director and Co-Head of the Energy and Structured Finance Group at WestLB AG (now Portigon AG Financial Services). Susana has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo.
